Activities and objectives
Key activityand the project include working with children and youth through educational-preventive workshops, online lectures and promotional-educational campaigns, aimed at identifying risks and promoting a culture of non-violence.
Objectives of the project include: reducing youth violence, raising awareness of the risks of weapons and improving educational programs.
Also, we especially emphasize development Guideline intended for primary and secondary school teachers to provide them with concrete advice and strategies on how to talk to students about the prevention of violent behavior and the risks and dangers associated with weapons.
Violence prevention project - addition to our work
Project activities will also significantly enrich programs of work with children at risk who use services Day care center for children, which is run by our association.
Since the children who use the services of our Day Center are victims of violence or are at an increased risk of becoming one, they are also at an increased risk of becoming perpetrators of violence. That's why projects like this complement our work, and offer us tools with which we can better respond to the occurrence of violence among young people.
We plan to include about 200 children and young people from vulnerable categories in the project.
Additionally, the project will include children and youth from vulnerable groups such as children without adequate parental care, and children and youth of Roma nationality. Thus, this project gets a greater effect because it targets groups of children who are at the highest risk of exposure to violence.
