The small school of parenting was started in 2012 and since then, with minor changes, it is still used in work with parents of children who use the Association's services. Parents almost always have the best intentions and want to do what's best for their children, but sometimes they just don't know how to deal with the challenges they find themselves in. It is precisely for this reason that it is necessary to provide support to parents.
Small school of parenthood
Through the school of parenting, we aim to empower parents to use non-violent and adequate methods of raising and disciplining children, through which they would build a relationship of trust and cooperation with their children. In this way, parents prepare their children for independent life in society.
Parenting is one of the most demanding tasks that people face, and it is a particularly big challenge for parents in modern society. In relation to that, support that implies practical ways of solving different situations proved to be very useful for parents.
So far, more than 300 parents have gone through the Small School of Parenting, and topics such as communication and communication styles with children, setting boundaries, discipline and punishment, the impact of technology on the development of parenting, and the importance of play have been discussed with them.
